Do you charge sales tax?
- If your shipping address is in New York state you must pay the 8% sales tax. If you are
paying by PayPal, it should be added into the total automatically. If that doesn't work, we will
contact you.
What forms of payment do you accept?
- We accept PayPal (you can use your credit or debit card or an e-check) RME, checks and
money orders.
PayPal is the default online credit payment option and what is linked to our site's shopping cart. If you would like to pay by RME instead, just drop us a note.
- US Postal Service money orders and checks drawn from many banks in upstate New York can take 1 week to clear after deposit (some upstate banks will take 2 weeks).
- Non-US Postal Service money orders and checks from outside of upstate New York can take 2 or even 3 weeks to clear after receipt and deposit.
If you are paying by PayPal please note that we will not ship to any address other than the confirmed address linked to the paying PayPal account. Apologies, but no exceptions. You can login to PayPal to find out how you can update your confirmed address if it is not correct. If you have already made a payment, we will refund it and issue you a new invoice to pay so that it reflects the updated confirmed address.
Checks or money orders must be in US Dollars. If you select check or money order as your payment method we will send you mailing info. Please note that we will not ship orders until payment has cleared:
How quickly do you ship?
- We typically ship within 2-3 business days of payment clearance. We will contact you to
confirm shipment or to let you know if there will be a delay.
Do you combine shipping for multiple purchases?
- We do combine shipping for multiple items purchased at the same time and will pass
savings on to you. We have tried to set up our shipping calculator so that it can account for
combined shipping, but it can be difficult to get an accurate estimate. If we are able to ship for
less than what you are charged, we will issue you a PayPal refund for the
difference.
If you make a purchase and would like an additional purchase to be packaged with it, please contact us ASAP before we run off to the post office!
How are items shipped?
- We ship by US Postal Service - First Class, Parcel or Air Post. If you order multiple
items, it may make sense for us to combine them in a Priority flat rate box. We can also
upgrade shipping to Priority or Express upon your request. Additional charges must be paid
by you before the shipment goes out.
Do you ship internationally?
- We do. Please be aware of any customs and other fees that may apply to your purchase.
Any taxes or fees are your responsibility and we don't keep track of each country's policies.
Be aware that it may be worthwhile to break a multiple-item order into several smaller orders
to avoid fees. If you are interested in a stamp set that will bring about a fee, talk to us about
breaking the order up.
What if my item is damaged upon receipt?
- If an item arrives and is damaged, please keep all of the shipping materials. If the outside
of the package was obviously damaged in transit, please try to photograph it. Contact us
ASAP so that we can make a claim with the postal service.
Unfortunately, we can't control what happens to packages once we ship them, but we will do our best to set things right.
Do you accept returns?
- If you wish to return an item, please contact us ASAP (within 30 days of purchase
date) so that we can arrange a fair solution. We can't reimburse shipping costs. If the item
was damaged in transit, please see the notes about shipping, above.
Do you accept custom orders for stamps?/Can you make a stamp for me?
- We do not manufacture stamps ourselves. We design the artwork and have the stamps
made elsewhere.
- We will charge by the hour for consulting time and for time spent designing.
- A partial, nonrefundable deposit will be required.
- If you are having us design an image for stamps, we can pass the resulting image file back to you so that you can send it to a stamp manufacturer of your choice, or we can send it on to the company that manufactures our stamps. All manufacturing and shipping costs would be paid by you.
- Our stamps are natural gum rubber, which is quite resilient, and which can be made with a deeper etch - at extra cost. Mounting options are also available.
- If you are looking to have a pre-existing image of yours made into stamps, you can do a search for "custom stamp" or "custom rubber stamp" on Etsy or Google to find other companies that offer these services. You may need to wade through many that offer only text stamps.
- If you are simply looking to stamp your logo on paper, you may consider a polymer stamp. Polymer stamps can be less expensive to manufacture because of material and equipment costs. (There is a polymer stamp-making kit available online that a number of small businesses have purchased so that they can offer custom-made stamps.) Again, keep in mind that polymer isn't as resilient as rubber - it is softer and more flexible (meaning that it may lose its shape from heavy or non-paper use, such as clay stamping), is not deep etch and is not as heat-safe as rubber.
- Corrabelle on Etsy makes custom stamps. She hand carves them out of pretty sturdy stuff - linoleum rubber. Very nice work.
Please note that we do not offer stamp-making services for images that are not created by us.
If you want to put in a suggestion/request that we add a certain kind of design, theme or size of image to our line please do let us know. We are always interested to hear what people are looking for and it is appreciated.
- Design work: If you are interested in hiring us to do design work, please drop a
note and we can discuss it.
Stamp(s) from existing artwork: Again, we do not make stamps from images that have not been created by us.
